The lighting project for the Castles of Bellinzona - Castelgrande, Montebello, and Sasso Corbaro - focused on the refurbishment of the existing lighting system and the enhancement of architectural elements that had remained in the shadows until now.

In full respect of the historical and environmental context, a warm light was adopted, capable of integrating discreetly with the architecture, highlighting the original materials and hues. The lighting technique employed ensured a perceptual balance between light and shadow, promoting a visual and emotional engagement of the observer.

The lighting fixtures, installed on poles and crossbars specifically designed by us, are equipped with monochromatic LED technology, differentiated optics (narrow, medium, and wide beams), and accessories such as holographic refractors, visors, and honeycomb filters to control glare. The system is managed remotely via a wireless system, allowing the activation of specific lighting scenarios.

The project adhered to the pre-existing system constraints, which did not allow for the relocation of the lighting positions. The result is an illumination that enhances the nocturnal identity of the three Castles, increases their tourist appeal, and ensures safety and visual comfort while minimizing unwanted light dispersion.
