About
The lighting design of the Uriele Residence in Arzo focused on the facade, private balconies, and common areas, such as the entrance atrium, the balcony, and the staircase.
The architecture of the residence is developed over two floors and reveals its unique character through the use of specific building materials: wood and concrete.
The light has been designed to fully integrate into the architecture, so it can disappear from view during daylight hours and reveal itself completely at night.
The lighting techniques emphasize the identity of the building, enhancing the building materials: some lighting techniques were created using the same material as the residence's facades, while others were derived from creating savings in the concrete parapet. The effect achieved allows for a visual cleanliness of the materials and results in a total integration of light into the architecture.
During nighttime hours, in addition to being a guiding tool for the enjoyment of the residence, the light has given a distinctive image to the building, making it immediately recognizable and enhancing its material peculiarities.
