About
The particular shape and position of Piazza Tamanti make it a cornerstone of the urban layout of Petritoli, a medieval town rich in olive trees, mulberries, and lush hills, and a significant element in defining the surrounding landscape.
The project goal was to create an open and unified space in its global vision, but when experienced from within, it presents itself as articulated and dynamic, divided into sub-spaces of different quality, function, and enjoyment.
In the square, it was also desired to create a luminous 'living room' atmosphere for the night hours, welcoming and making users feel protected and safe thanks to adequate lighting levels; through the use of high-efficiency light sources, the system has reduced energy consumption.
